Design Principles: Do & Don't

Do
Use the Hive evergreen palette as the primary accent colour.
Set headings in Urbanist at weights 700–800.
Use Plus Jakarta Sans for all body copy at weights 400–600.
Maintain whitespace generously — the brand breathes.
Pair the TH badge mark with the 'Hive Practice' wordmark.
Use token variables exclusively. Never hardcode hex values.
Don't
Don't use the teal/Nunito palette from the plan document — it's a separate system.
Don't mix display and body fonts in the same typographic context.
Don't use accent colours at full opacity for large background fills.
Don't add custom breakpoints outside the token breakpoint set.
Don't invent new shadow values — use the tokens.
Don't place light text on accent-dim backgrounds (fails contrast).
